Adam & Eve
Step back to the dawn of everything.
In this message of The Bible in 10 | People in the Bible, we open to Genesis 1–5 and meet Adam and Eve, where humanity’s story begins.
Created in the image of God and placed in a perfect garden, they were given freedom and one command. In Genesis 3, disobedience opened the door to sin. The result was separation, suffering, and death (Genesis 3:16–19). Paradise fractured. Fellowship was broken.
But even in judgment, hope was spoken. In Genesis 3:15, God promised redemption. A Rescuer was coming.
The New Testament pulls back the curtain even further. The apostle Paul writes in Romans 5:12–19 that through one man, sin and death entered the world. Yet through one Man, life and righteousness are offered. In 1 Corinthians 15:21–22, we see the contrast clearly: the first Adam brought death; the last Adam brings life.
Adam explains the problem.
Jesus is the answer.
